I am Afolabi Aderonke Salmat and I am a 25 year old Law Student living in Lagos, Nigeria. Like any other human I have dimensions to who I am and I embrace all the parts of me including the sweet and the sour. I am an ambivert which means I can be socially inclined but at the same time, my social battery runs out fast. I'm that type of girl who needs 2 weeks of solitude after a weekend of socializing (LOL). In spite of this, I am still very adventurous. I love to explore my interests but I'm careful not to go beyond the boundaries of Islam. I am a big dreamer but my perfectionist trait makes me spend double the time achieving those dreams (for instance, this blog has taken forever). I take pride in what I do but I am careful not to be arrogant (trust me, Nigeria has humbled me). 

I am also a Jill of Trades and I'm still wondering which of my many interests I should master. Talking about mastery, I've been on a mission of self mastery to tame my mind but its no joke, I can tell you that for free. This is because I can be very willful and I allow my emotions to control me sometimes. So I've been working on self discipline and restraint. 

I am quick to learn new things but my short attention span ensures I get bored before I become an expert at it. I honestly think this is just a symptom of ADHD at this point. 

I am slow to love but when I do, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I can be determined but I also believe I haven't fully explored the strength I possess. I recognize where I'm headed but the road seems like a conundrum. I forge ahead but miss my turn every other week. One thing I know for certain is that I never give up so I always find my way back. I always try even when its difficult. I push past the self doubt and I do it over and over again because I know I'm on the right path, I am guided by Allah and my dreams are worth a fighting chance. Just like you, I am growing, learning, unlearning and evolving with each new day.
